Daisuke Harada wins GHC junior heavyweight championship

A new GHC junior heavyweight champion was crowned on Monday in Pro Wrestling NOAH.

Two days after the promotion was part of the third night of Wrestle Kingdom 16, NOAH held an event at Yokohama Radiant Hall where Daisuke Harada defeated HAYATA to become the new champion.

The 27-minute match ends the reign of HAYATA that began last June where he made eight defenses of the championship.

It is Harada’s fifth time as GHC junior heavyweight champion. He had held the title four times between March 2014 and February 2021, last losing the belt to Seiki Yoshioka.

NOAH has a big card this Sunday in Sendai headlined by Katsuhiko Nakajima defending the GHC heavyweight championship against Masa Kitamiya and a GHC tag title match with Naomichi Marufuji & Keiji Muto defending against Kenoh & Manabu Soya.
