A vigil for the late Jay Briscoe will be held tonight with a funeral scheduled for this weekend in Delaware.

The Delaware News Journal reports that members of the community will be holding a vigil tonight at 7 p.m. local time at the Lee Worship Center to honor the late Jamin Pugh.

Pugh was killed in a tragic motor vehicle accident last Tuesday while driving his daughters on Laurel Road and was struck by another vehicle that swerved into his lane and hit him head-on. Pugh’s daughters, Gracie and Jayleigh, are recovering from the extensive injuries sustained in the crash.

A funeral for Pugh will be held this Sunday at the gymnasium at Laurel High School with a visitation period from Noon until 1 p.m. followed by a private ceremony.

A fundraiser to assist the Pugh family has now exceeded $300,000 in donations.

Brother Mark Pugh a.k.a. Mark Briscoe will wrestle Jay Lethal on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite in Kentucky on what would have been the 39th birthday for Jay.

Pugh was a huge member of the community, graduating from Laurel High School and becoming a standout football player for the school, which was coached by his father, Mike.

Pugh had been working as an assistant coach on the Laurel Middle School football team, which his son Gannon played on.

Family friends Josh Wharton and K.C. Conaway continue to provide updates on the health of Pugh’s daughters and posted their latest video on Monday night:
