Tanahashi is going to Fukuoka.

At NJPW Capital Collision, Hiroshi Tanahashi suffered a broken rib. He had agreed to tag with Kazuchika Okada on May 3rd at Wrestling Dontaku in a NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Title match.

Due to Tanahashi’s injury, he was pulled from the forthcoming match and it was later announced that one of Okada’s teammates would be Tomohiro Ishii. Tanahashi took to his Twitter and noted that he is the ‘X’ listed to be tagging with Ishii and Okada.

He added that he’s going to Fukuoka.

Coming up on May 21st at Resurgence, Tanahashi is taking on Will Ospreay in a tournament to determine the number one contender to Kenny Omega’s IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship.
