‘Never say never’ was the answer the former Billie Kay gave about an in-ring return.

It was in April of 2022 that The IInspiration (Jessie McKay & Cassie Lee) announced that they would be stepping away from in-ring competition. The duo had been with IMPACT Wrestling and held the company’s Knockouts World Tag Titles for four months.

As McKay, the former Billie Kay was doing a virtual signing for Golden Ring Collectibles, she was asked if she’ll be getting back in the ring. She said ‘never say never’ and added that she likes where she’s currently at in her life.

Never say never (McKay said when asked if there are plans for an in-ring return). There’s always opportunities but, um, liking where I’m at in my life right now.

In The IInspiration’s time away from wrestling, Cassie Lee and Shawn Spears welcomed their child into the world. Jessie McKay stated that she’s focused on her acting career.

I just like what I’m doing right now so, I really am diving into my acting career and that’s my priority right now. I have classes every Wednesday. I think training and learning about that business is extremely important if you wanna succeed so that’s just my priority now and auditioning as much as I can.

The conversation turned over to the résumé and headshot persona that McKay portrayed when The IInspiration were separated in WWE

She said she got into wrestling for the characters. McKay added that no one is going to remember her body slams or how well she took a move. For her, she feels people will remember her promos and the interactions she had with other talents on-screen.

I mean, I feel like people forget, the reason why I was drawn into wrestling was for the characters. I was drawn to The Rock who was the over the top character in the Attitude Era and I think people forget that we are characters. Nobody is going to remember how good my body slam was or how I could take a suplex and they’re gonna remember the promos and the interactions that I had with people so…

McKay is going to be starring in a film titled ‘The Charisma Killers’. Filming wrapped up in 2022. Tenille Dashwood and Brian Pillman Jr. were cast in the movie as well.
