Okada and Ibushi are hoping to share the ring again someday.

Following Kazuchika Okada’s win over Tanga Loa to bring him to 12 points in this year’s NJPW G1 Climax tournament, he spoke to the press. After his comments about the match, he mentioned Kota Ibushi’s in-ring return in Japan for GLEAT

Okada said he hopes Ibushi can wrestle like himself without injury and would like to continue their story someday.

I hope he can wrestle like (Kota) Ibushi again without injury, and I would like to fight him again somewhere. Of course, I would like to continue the story. I hope we can do it somewhere.

Ibushi caught wind of Okada’s comment and noted that there is more to do and there always will be. Ibushi added a ‘someday, somewhere’ comment.

In the finals of the 2021 NJPW G1 Climax, Okada and Ibushi’s bout had to be stopped due to Ibushi suffering a shoulder injury. Ibushi has only wrestled in four matches since the injury.
