Friday Night Live

Rampage kicked off live from Oakland with Ricky Starks taking on LFI’s Preston Vance with Big Bill on commentary. Vance twice attempted to pay tribute to Brodie Lee with a discus clothesline but the second time was distracted by Big Bill and then speared by Ricky Starks for the win. After the match, the heels started beating Vance down but Rush and Dralístico made the save.

Japan This Sunday

Renee interviewed Chris Jericho and brought up how this Sunday Jericho would be facing Takeshita in Japan. Jericho said he’s done it all in Japan and he was going to get his revenge at the Tokyo Dome. DDT wasn’t mentioned here so it could be viewed as confusing what they were even talking about it one wasn’t aware already.

Don Callis was interviewed next with Lexi Nair asking who the fourth member would be in the Street Fight this coming week on Dynamite. Callis was with Prince Nana and revealed he was going to “rent” the services of Brian Cage.

“The Heat of AEW”

Jeff Jarrett and Company were interviewed by Lexi Nair who referred to the group as “The Heat of AEW” and Jay Lethal said he was going to beat Eddie Kingston for the ROH World Championship. Ortiz interrupted and then attacked the whole group but was quickly overcome as Satnam Singh choked him while referees split up the fracas.

Ruby Soho vs. Red Velvet

Ruby Soho took on Red Velvet next as Saraya accompanied Ruby out on the stage but didn’t corner her. In the middle of the match, Ruby was delivered flowers and as the referee was getting them out of the ring, Velvet had Ruby pinned with a roll-up. Then Velvet hit a series of kicks and picked up the pinfall, seemingly out of nowhere.

The Kingdom vs. Los Suavecitos

Before the match, Roddy did his interrupt bit yelling Dasha’s name and said “No Neck November is in full effect”. The Kingdom defeated Los Sauvecitos in less than a minute with a new finisher they called “The Neck Check”. After the match, Roddy jumped into the ring and hit his backstabber finisher before returning swiftly to his wheelchair. This was essentially the same beat for beat squash from last week.

Later in the back, Darius Martin and Action Andretti approached The Kingdom and reminded them that they won the last time they met in the ring. Roddy said he found his first victim and rolled off.

Garcia/Andrade, Soho/Parker

Daniel Garcia challenged Andrade to a match tomorrow night on Collision. Ruby Soho and Saraya interrupted and asked what kind of idiot sends flowers at 10:30pm to which Angelo Parker replied “Maybe I meant 10:30am”. Ruby Soho and Angelo Parker stared at each other lovingly until Menard and Saraya pulled them both off-screen and Saraya told Menard that they had a big problem.

Main Event: Flips vs. Fists

The main event of Rampage was FTR taking on Komander & El Hijo del Vikingo. This match was definitely worth watching as the fans were firmly behind the two Lucha stars.

FTR was able to pick up the win with the Shatter Machine and after the match, the four men hugged. Then the lights went out and House of Black appeared on the screen executing a golf clap and then disappeared into darkness as the show went off the air.
