TMDK’s Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls stand on top of the A Block standings in the ongoing World Tag League.
Friday’s show in Wakayama featured four A Block matches as the tournament enters the home stretch and will conclude on December 10.
Haste & Nicholls extended their record to 4-1 by beating NOAH’s Kaito Kiyomiya & Ryohei Oiwa with the Tankbuster and jumping to eight points and sole possession of first place in the block.
Four teams came out of Friday’s show with six points including Kiyomiya & Oiwa, who are joined by Alex Coughlin & Gabe Kidd, Shota Umino & Ren Narita, and Tomohiro Ishii & Toru Yano in a tie for second place.
The latest card was headlined by Ishii & Yano beating Umino & Narita after Ishii pinned Umino following the Vertical Drop Brainbuster.
The Gates of Agony fell to 1-4 and were mathematically eliminated from the Tag League.
