REPORT: Multiple WWE executives part of Friday’s cuts

WWE went through another round of cuts on Friday with several names on the corporate side being let go.

Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomcs confirmed several executives have been let go by the company, including:

Michael Weitz (SVP, Financial Planning)

Craig Stimmel (Head of Global Sales and Partnerships)

Karen Mullane (Controller and Chief Accounting Officer)

Stewart Frey (SVP, Streaming Technology)

Matt Geyer (SVP, Gaming)

Weitz previously held the title of SVP & Head of Investor Relations before that position was taken over by Seth Zaslow in January 2022.

Craig Stimmel replaced Claudine Lilien as WWE’s head of sales and partnerships in August 2022 and initially reported to Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon-Levesque upon being hired. Stimmel previously worked at Snap as its head of global brands.

Karen Mullane was appointed WWE’s Controller and Chief Accounting Officer in 2020 after serving as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Controller at Etsy.

Stewart Frey worked at Viacom for seventeen years rising up to become their VP of Media & Technology Services before going to WWE in 2016.

Matt Geyer headed up WWE’s gaming division and was interviewed at this past January’s CES event in Las Vegas.
