WWE Raw down 4% in viewership airing against two NFL games

WWE Raw aired against two NFL games on Monday night and resulted in a 4% from last week’s viewership figures.

The December 11 episode from Cleveland averaged 1,466,000 viewers and 613,000 (0.46) in the 18-49 demographic, per Wrestlenomics.

The Green Bay Packers vs. New York Giants averaged 11,408,000 viewers on ABC while the Miami Dolphins vs. Tennessee Titans averaged 7,301,000 on ESPN with 940,000 tuned into the ManningCast on ESPN. The games were also streamed on ESPN+, per Sports TV Ratings.

Overall, the football audience was up by 19.4% from last week’s average across ABC and ESPN.

Raw fell by 4% in overall viewership with the same decline in its 18-49 audience from the previous week’s episode.

Males in the 18-49 demo dropped by 6% to 413,000 while women only fell 1% to 200,000.

Adults 18-34 saw a drop of 10% to 244,000 and its lowest audience in that demo over the past three weeks. Female viewers in the demo dropped by 16% to 80,000 and males were down by 7%.

Adults 35-49 were unaffected from the previous week, although women in the demo grew by 11% this week.

In Canada, the show finished third among sports programs with 288,000 viewers and 110,300 in the 25-54 demographic on Sportsnet 360. The audience increased by 23% from last week with the demo growing by 21%. The show finished behind the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. New York Islanders and Tennessee Titans vs. Miami Dolphins.

The show was advertised around CM Punk deciding which brand he would sign with, which aired at the start of the second hour. The show was headlined by Cody Rhodes vs. Shinsuke Nakamura.
