New arrivals to NJPW and double champions crowned.
Both the IWGP and NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships were up for grabs at Wrestle Kingdom 18. Prior to the double title match, coming to watch from ringside were Ryan Nemeth and his brother Nic Nemeth f.k.a. Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler was released from WWE in September after a near 20-year run with the company.
Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) put their IWGP Tag Titles on the line against STRONG Tag Champions El Phantasmo and Hikuleo.
Phantasmo and Hikuleo emerged victorious and are now in possession of both sets of tag titles.
The next NJPW STRONG event is Battle in the Valley on January 13th from San Jose, California. Rocky Romero stated on commentary that match announcements are going to be made in the coming days.
