Rhodes has his sights set on finishing the story.

Closing out the January 8th edition of Monday Night Raw was Cody Rhodes besting Shinsuke Nakamura in a No-DQ match. Rhodes is now headed towards the 2024 men’s Royal Rumble.

He’s consistently stuck to the concept of finishing his story which is headlining WrestleMania and becoming Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated caught up with Rhodes and he told the outlet that despite the returns of CM Punk and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, he’s not flinching on his goal.

The Rock is The Great One–he’s still electrifying. CM Punk is one of the greatest stars in the history of wrestling. I know what I’m up against. Look at the roster–it’s loaded with stars. But that doesn’t bother me. I’m not flinching. I’m not rooting against anyone else, I’m just working to make it happen.

Punk is scheduled to compete in the men’s Royal Rumble and said he plans on main eventing WrestleMania.

When Dwayne Johnson returned to Raw at the Day 1 edition of the program, he asked the crowd if he should sit at the head of the table. Johnson’s comments were reacted to by both Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman
