**The Financial Times reports that TKO made a bid to purchase Dorna Sports, which owns MotoGP, but states that Liberty Media (which owns Formula 1) is the frontrunner. The article states that the deal is expected to be worth over four billion Euros with Qatar Sports Investments also expressing interest. The article notes that a potential purchase by Liberty could raise regulatory concerns.

**Becky Lynch is doing a lot of media to promote The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl, which is out now. She was on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani and spoke about the awful details of the Janel Grant lawsuit and how she has had to come to terms with Vince McMahon.

**I received a copy of Our Fight by Ronda Rousey and Maria Burns Ortiz, which will be available next Tuesday and has been heavily publicized regarding excerpts critical of Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and Bruce Prichard. While the professional wrestling chapters are gaining the most attention, it is by far the most in-depth Rousey has gone into final fights in the UFC. Rousey is brutally honest about the problems during the lead-up to her November 2015 fight with Holly Holm and the depression she sunk into after the loss at UFC 193. I found the insight about her fishbowl existence to be very informative regarding her pushback against the media and the enormous pressure she placed herself under. It’s clear she saw herself as the central figure for women’s MMA and felt she could not say “no” to Dana White when he came to her with fight offers. This included an insane turnaround by beating Miesha Tate at UFC 168 in December 2013 and announcing her next fight with Sara McMann at the post-fight press conference in February. The nature of the Holm fight has been forgotten but they were scheduled to fight in January 2016 but were moved to November when Robbie Lawler was injured and couldn’t fight Carlos Condit in Australia, and the two fights were flipped. Rousey kept an untenable schedule and it’s not surprising there was a crash. You couple that with a woman who placed immense importance on her perfect record, and it helps to explain why the loss to Holm was so devastating to her. She is also very open regarding the problems between herself and coach Edmond Tarverdyan and the insistence by Rousey’s mother for her to find a new coach.

**The AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view is confirmed for Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The May 26 date will pit the show against NXT’s Battleground card set for Savannah, Georgia the same night. AEW is opting to run the slightly smaller MGM Grand Garden Arena after staging the Memorial Day event at the T-Mobile Arena over the past two years. Battleground is listed for an evening start time and would air head-to-head against Double or Nothing. The timing will also coincide with the NBA and NHL playoffs, which will be in the latter stages by late May.

**Variety reports that comedian and late-night host Bill Maher is developing a podcast network called Club Random Studios. The network will feature additional shows beyond Maher’s own “Club Random” podcast including one hosted by Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins and the National Wrestling Alliance. The network’s first show to launch is one hosted by former ESPN host Sage Steele and her first guest is UFC CEO Dana White.

**Allision Danger will be receiving the 2024 Women’s Wrestling Award at this year’s Cauliflower Alley Club Reunion in Las Vegas. The annual event will be staged at the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas from August 19-21.

**Mick Foley continues to document his weight loss and is working with several of the talents at Ohio Valley Wrestling on a training program.

**ESPN is releasing a documentary on Dany Garcia, which premieres on Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on the flagship network and ESPN Deportes. The feature will include interviews with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and their daughter Simone a.k.a. Ava in NXT.

**DDT has announced that Konosuke Takeshita will face Minoru Suzuki on May 19 in Osaka.

**Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Limit Break 3 event on June 20 will be presented as Go Shiozaki’s twentieth-anniversary celebration. Shiozaki was a product of the NOAH Dojo system and debuted in July 2004 and would become a five-time GHC champion, a seven-time tag champion in the promotion, and won All Japan’s Triple Crown in 2015. No opponent has been named yet for Shiozaki on the anniversary show.

**Paul Heyman is a guest on The Rich Eisen Show to promote his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame next week. Heyman said he is not preparing a speech in advance and will read the temperature of the room and see what direction they want him to go.

**CM Punk, Jey Uso, and Jackie Redmond attended the Chicago Blackhawks game at the United Center on Tuesday.

**WWE is returning to the Allstate Arena in Illinois for Friday Night SmackDown on June 21.

**The TKO stock closed at $86.39 on Wednesday.

MMA NEWS

**The Nevada Athletic Commission has confirmed the officiating and judging assignments for UFC 300 on April 13. Herb Dean will referee the main event between Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill for the light heavyweight championship with Derek Cleary, Sal D’Amao, and Ron McCarthy serving as judges. Jason Herzog will officiate the strawweight title fight between Zhang Weili and Yan Xiaonan with judges Mike Bell, Ben Cartlidge, and Chris Lee. (MMA Junkie)

**MMA journalist Marc Raimondi is moving to Atlanta to become ESPN’s new beat reporter for the Atlanta Falcons. He will be wrapping up his MMA coverage after UFC 300 before dedicating his time to the NFL. Raimondi previously worked at the New York Post and NY Daily News before shifting to MMA Fighting and later, ESPN. Raimondi has covered both MMA and professional wrestling for ESPN and is among the top reporters in the industry. Raimondi has been at the forefront of covering regulatory issues with extensive coverage of drug testing within the sport and out legal matters. It’s a great loss for MMA coverage that Raimondi is moving elsewhere as he is an exceptionally talented reporter. He is also releasing a book on the history of the N.W.O. and its pop culture influences, which is set for release next year.

**A middleweight fight between Anthony Hernandez and Roman Dolidze has been added to the UFC 302 card on June 2. Hernandez (12-2, 1 NC) has won five consecutive fights and is coming off a submission against Roman Kopylov at UFC 298 in February. Dolidze (12-3) is 6-3 inside of the UFC but is coming off decision losses to Marvin Vettori and Nassourdine Imavov. (MMA Fighting)
