Billie Starkz can now call herself the first-ever ROH Women’s World Television Champion.

Starkz overcame Queen Aminata at ROH Supercard of Honor 2024 on Friday night from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to win a 16-woman tournament and pick up a new title.

The finishing sequence of the fight saw Starkz utilize a fake injury to lower Amitana’s guard. After a Swanton Bomb from Starkz  was blocked by Aminata, Starkz screamed out in pain. Medical staff came into the ring and applied a neck brace to her. The crowd fell silent, and the commentary sounded flustered. However, it ended up being an act.

As she was being helped out of the ring, Starkz suddenly snapped out of her injured state and scored a german suplex on Aminata. She then put in a sleeper hold that put out Aminata, ending the battle.

The match, which earned Starkz her first title since joining the ROH roster, lasted just under 18 minutes in total and had a hard-hitting, close style prior to the finishing sequence.

Friday’s title bout ended a lengthy tournament that ROH had booked to find their first women’s TV champ. Starkz previously beat Robyn Renegade, Diamante, and Mercedes Martinez to qualify for the finals of the tournament. Aminata made it to Friday’s card with wins over J-Rod, Taya Valkyrie and Red Velvet.
