It was in late 2023 that Yuzuki began to think about what could be next for her.

In two weeks, Dream Star Fighting Marigold is going to have their debut show. It is scheduled for May 20th at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

The match card is locked in and one of the talents on the bill is Victoria Yuzuki. Yuzuki, along with the likes of Giulia, Utami Hayashishita, Mai Sakurai and MIRAI, opted to leave STARDOM and join what is now known as Marigold.

ShuPro Weekly Pro-Wrestling ran an extensive interview with Yuzuki and Giulia. Yuzuki opened up about her decision to join Rossy Ogawa’s new venture:

I wanted to follow Mr. Ogawa because I was drawn to the women’s professional wrestling that Ogawa-san created and his pro-wrestling brain… It was intuition!

She was asked if she was hesitant to leave STARDOM, seeing as how she’s 19 and has only ever wrestled for STARDOM dating back to the beginning of her career in 2023.

Victoria admitted that she’s an individual who is swayed by other people’s opinions. It was in late 2023 that she began to think about what her future could look like. She was aware of the rumors that Ogawa could be launching his own promotion.

I am the type of person who acts on intuition, but I am also the type of person who is swayed by other people’s opinions. Around the end of last year, I started to wonder what would happen to me in the future.

Yes (I was aware of the rumors that Ogawa would be starting his own organization). At that time, I listened to stories and received advice from various seniors. STARDOM gave me some conditions, such as who would go and who would stay, and I was really confused about what to do. Even though it’s a pretty serious matter, I feel like I’m getting swept away by others. So I instinctively decided to follow Mr. Ogawa.

Elsewhere in the conversation, she stated that she was initially concerned about the salary. Her father wanted her to stay with STARDOM because of the stability it provided.

I was a little worried about the salary. I think that’s why my father wanted me to stay (in STARDOM). I think it would be worrisome for a parent to abandon stability… But if you don’t make your own decision, you’ll regret it.

Yuzuki will be facing Nanae Takahashi at the Marigold debut event. It’ll be the 50th match of her in-ring career.
