Yuji Nagata reveals he hid injury for first half of 2024, ‘finally’ back in good condition

Nagata states that he’s feeling better.

In 2024, Yuji Nagata has wrestled in a total of 15 matches. He shared during an interview with NJPW’s official website that he dealt with an injury in the first half of 2024.

Nagata stated that he’s finally back in good condition.

I think I haven’t wrestled more than 20 matches since the beginning of this year. I was injured in the first half of this year, so I was hiding it, but now I am finally back in good condition. I have one match this year that I still have regrets about… There was a match where I was not satisfied with the result and my condition, and I have a feeling of I want to take revenge on myself for that time. I would like to have my own show with that as its theme.

He was last in action at a Ganbare Pro event on September 7th. In 2024, Nagata has worked his usual dates for New Japan in addition to competing for NOAH, Dradition Pro, MLW and AEW.
