AEW Full Gear notes: Chaos ensues after Jon Moxley retains, Mercedes Moné def. Statlander, Fletcher/Ospreay

Closing out AEW Full Gear was the AEW World Championship match between Orange Cassidy and the champion Jon Moxley. During the ring introductions, Marina Shafir refused to open the briefcase which contains the World Title. As the bout went along, The Conglomeration’s Kyle O’Reilly, Tomohiro Ishii and Rocky Romero fought off Claudio Castagnoli and PAC. Willow Nightingale made her way to the ring to take out Shafir. The match wrapped up with Wheeler Yuta hitting a Bisaiku Knee onto Cassidy and Moxley capitalized to secure the win. Yuta then poured fluid down Cassidy’s throat and commentary said it’s the fluid that is used to disinfect the ring. Joining the fray was Hangman Adam Page and he took out Yuta with a chair. He stood face-to-face with Moxley, but Christian Cage hit Moxley from behind and had his World Title shot contract in hand. Entering the picture next was Jay White and he hit a Blade Runner onto Cage. Castagnoli and PAC then attacked White. The Death Riders exited the arena and as they were headed to their truck, a car driven by Darby Allin crashed into it. The Death Riders drove off in another car.

The TBS Championship remains in Mercedes Moné’s possession after she bested Kris Statlander.

After MJF defeated Roderick Strong, he placed Strong’s arm in-between a chair and stepped on it. Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett) ran down to assist Strong. Kyle O’Reilly came to the ring to tend to Strong, but he shoved Cole to the mat.

Will Ospreay versus Kyle Fletcher took place and Fletcher walked away with the win.

The overall match score between Jay White and Hangman Adam Page is now 5-1 in White’s favor. Jay defeated Hangman at the pay-per-view and post-match, Hangman ambushed Jay and struck Christopher Daniels.

Retaining his International Championship was Konosuke Takeshita. He bested Ricochet.

The opening match of the main card was the four-way AEW World Tag Team Title match. It featured Private Party (Zay & Quen) defending against House of Black (Malakai Black & Brody King) and The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum) and The Acclaimed (Max Caster & Anthony Bowens). Deadbody performed House of Black to the ring. Throughout the bout, there were communication issues between Caster and Bowens and the match concluded with Private Party getting the win by pinning Caster.
