Paul Walter Hauser has parted ways with Major League Wrestling, citing creative differences with the promotion.
The Emmy-winning actor and wrestler announced his departure on Sunday via Instagram.
My decision was simply rooted in creative differences. The truest, & least sexy, answer.
Hauser said he enjoyed his time with the promotion and thanked MLW founder Court Bauer, its production team and the wrestlers who worked with him.

His involvement with MLW began at Battle Riot VI in June 2024, after Sami Callihan introduced him to Bauer. Hauser competed in the 40-person Battle Riot and eliminated Tom Lawlor, beginning a rivalry that eventually led to Hauser defeating the former MLW World Champion inside an MMA-style cage.
Hauser’s role later expanded beyond wrestling. In March 2025, he was named an executive producer for the promotion, working on creative and production in addition to making on-screen appearances. MLW was still listing Hauser as an executive producer when it announced its distribution agreement with Tubi in September.
In his departure statement, Hauser referenced his work producing and directing backstage segments as well as promoting MLW through his connections in the entertainment industry.
He also highlighted several moments from his run, including a ladder dive onto Brett Ryan Gosselin at Battle Riot and his eventual turn against mentor and former tag partner Paul London.
Hauser last wrestled for MLW during its September 12 television tapings, defeating Cody Fluffman.
The actor began his professional wrestling career with Wrestling Revolver in 2023 and has also competed for promotions including PROGRESS, DEFY and ROH.
Hauser ended his statement by praising MLW and saying he expects the promotion to have “so much more to come.”
