Darby Allin completed the New York City Marathon on Sunday, less than two days after wrestling in Mexico City and ahead of Wednesday’s Blood & Guts match.
Official race results list the AEW TNT Champion finishing the 26.2-mile course in 5h 34m 34s, having started at 9:15:13 am and crossed the finish line at 2:49:46 pm.
Allin posted afterward on Instagram with a photograph showing him wearing his finisher’s medal and carrying the TNT Championship.
NYC marathon complete!

I wanted to challenge myself and not train at all and see what happened what a wild experience now time for blood and guts!

The time given by Allin in his post differs slightly from the 5:34:34 recorded on his official New York Road Runners competitor page, so he may have short-changed himself by 40 seconds.
The marathon came at the midpoint of a busy stretch for Allin.
On Friday, he made his first appearance on a standalone CMLL event, facing Hechicero at the promotion’s Día de Muertos show at Arena México. Hechicero defeated Allin after a match that included the TNT Champion being sent down the arena steps.
Allin had previously wrestled at Arena México during the AEW/CMLL Grand Slam Mexico event in August.
AEW referee Aubrey Edwards referenced Friday’s physical match while responding to Allin’s marathon post.
I still can’t believe you got kicked down the stairs in Mexico then hopped on a flight a few hours later so that you could achieve another crazy milestone.
Swerve Strickland offered a more concise reaction: “UR nuts.”
Allin’s schedule continues Wednesday when he competes in AEW’s men’s Blood & Guts match in Jacksonville, Florida.
He will team with AEW World Champion Will Ospreay, Adam Copeland, The Young Bucks and Steven Borden against the Don Callis Family’s Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher, Wardlow, Kevin Knight, Mark Davis & Jake Doyle.
The match was announced last month and will take place inside AEW’s two-ring steel cage at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
