Right On Time

The show starts with Renee Paquette introducing us to the show as we see Swerve Strickland, Ricochet, and Toni Storm entering the building. Renee then brings in Jay White and asks about his new relationship with Cope. White says he barely made it here from the airport, and sometimes you have to rely on people you don’t expect, and for now, it’s Rated FTR. The Death Riders show up to get in White’s face, just for Rated FTR to show up from behind as they all start brawling outside and making their way into the venue and the ring. White took out Wheeler Yuta with a Blade Runner, but as he tried to hit Jon Moxley with one he gets taken out by PAC. FTR enters and hits PAC with a Shatter Machine before Claudio Castagnoli gets involved. Claudio & Moxley start stomping out White in the ring before Cope comes in, as Claudio takes the bullet, and takes the spear from Cope.

Cope gets on the mic and asks Moxley what his answer to the challenge he proposed at Collision to happen at Revolution. Moxley grabs a mic and says Cope deserves nothing and gets nothing, so the answer is no. White then gives another offer and proposes a Brisbane Brawl between himself and Cope vs. Moxley & Claudio at Grand Slam Australia, which looks to have been accepted.

They show footage from Collision where Kazuchika Okada declined Buddy Matthews’s challenge for the Continental Championship before announcing that the match is made official for Grand Slam Australia

Will Ospreay vs. Mark Davis

Don Callis comes out and introduces Mark Davis as the mystery Don Callis Familly member to the surprise of Ospreay. Callis joins the commentary and explains the close connection between Ospreay and Davis and says that when he signed Kyle Fletcher to The Don Callis Family, Fletcher had the authority to sign Aussie Open as well since Davis was in the hospital. Why this wasn’t brought up back when Davis returned originally and had disagreements with Fletcher, beats me. Davis stays in control for the first couple of minutes of the match, but as they are on the top rope, Ospreay pushes him off and springboards on him. Callis leaves commentary to talk with Davis as we head to break.

They take it to the outside, as Ospreay springboards onto him. Ospreay stays in control when they return to the ring and hits the Os Cutter, but Davis kicks out at two as Callis is trying to interfere as well. Ospreay goes for the Hidden Blade, but Davis stops him and takes him down with a lariat followed by a piledriver for a two count. As Rick Knox goes to check on Ospreay, Davis rips off a turnbuckle pad. Knox stops Davis from driving Ospreay into it but during an argument with Davis & Knox, Ospreay hits Davis with the Hidden Blade to pick up the win.

Winner: Will Ospreay by pinfall at 11:00

Ospreay gets on the mic and says he has a new best friend who he’s teaming up with at Grand Slam Australia as Kenny Omega makes his way out, just for Don Callis to escape through the crowd. Omega gets on the mic and says he doesn’t know what Callis has on Davis but says that help is there and there are people here he can trust. Omega talks about making his in-ring return next week for AEW (he must have forgotten that he wrestled Brian Cage just a couple of weeks ago on Dynamite ‘Maximum Carnage‘). Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher show up on the ramp as Omega hypes up the match and even gets pyro for his catchphrase, which he again says he hasn’t said here in over a year.

Gunns Hurt People

The Hurt Syndicate makes their way to the ring, as one of the men rapping on their theme song, Westside Gunn, is seen in the front row. MVP gets on the mic and tells everybody to stand on their feet for the AEW World Tag Team Champions Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin. MVP says they have to make this quick so they can head over to New Orleans for the Super Bowl and gives props to Private Party, saying they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. He puts everybody else here in AEW on notice who has a title and says eventually, when they choose, they are coming to see them, hurt them, and take their title. MVP then says they are open for business for anyone who wants a title shot as we get the return of The Gunns. Austin Gunn, they are here to talk business, as MVP says they aren’t dressed for business but tells them to step into the ring to discuss business face-to-face. They do, as Austin says they’ve been waiting for 2 years to get another shot at those titles, as Colten Gunn says it’s time for them to take back their titles. MVP says they respect their father, and if it wasn’t for him, they would have been choked out, so he accepts the match for next week on Dynamite. MVP calls them Ass Boys as they make their way out, Austin says something that gets censored, back at them.

Mercedes Mope’

Renee is in the back as Harley Cameron and her Mercedes Mone’ puppet show up, announcing that Harley will be doing a live concert on Collision this Saturday. The real Mercedes shows up from behind and asks Harley if she’s stupid or dumb before Renee brings up how Harley got her first victory. Mercedes brings up remembering her first win and winning all her titles before calling Harley a loser who doesn’t get to ride the Mone’ Train and rips the puppet out of her hand before leaving.

Renee is in the back with ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, who says it was a mistake looking for Swerve Strickland last week and tells Renee not to bring it up again. She then brings up how Christopher Daniels had to retire from his attack and asks if there was any regret from him. Page says no, as Daniels was the one who accepted a Texas Death Match, and he doesn’t regret it. We see Max Caster on the side,e who tells Page to wrap it up and suggests Page puts either Anthony Bowens & Billy Gunn in the hospital. Page said he would love to do that tonight, but he doesn’t see either one of them but says he does see Caster. Caster says he has to go to his car, as Page follows him.

Hounds of Hell (Brody King & Buddy Matthews) vs. The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher)

No Julia Hart with the Hounds of Hell tonight, as Don Callis goes back to join the commentary table and starts talking about Kyle Fletcher’s massive popularity in Australia. They quickly take it the outside as all four men start fighting against the barricades. Brody King takes out both Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita with a double crossbody as they are sitting on chairs as head to break.

When we come back, Brody & Takeshita are going at it in the ring, taking each other down with a double clothesline. Buddy Matthews sends Takeshita & Fletcher to the outside and hits them both with a dive. before hitting a Fletcher with a top-rope meteora for a two-count. As Matthews heads to the top rope, Kazuchika Okada’s music hits (he doesn’t come out) which distracts him a bit as Fletcher joins him on the top rope. Callis says he had nothing to do with the music playing. All four start fighting on the apron, where Fletcher hits a draping DDT on Brody for a very close two-count. They start double-teaming on Brody and hit him with a double-team brainbuster as Fletcher gets the pin for the win.

Winners: The Don Callis Family (Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita) by pinfall at 14:15

“Tell Your Daddy, I Said Hi”

We see Samoa Joe & Hook walking in the back as Joe asks where Katsuyori Shibata is, with Hook telling him he’s in Japan. Hook tells Joe to be focused as they walk into Christian Cage’s locker room but see Kip Sabian & Nick Wayne instead. Joe says they can come back or leave a message, which they decide to do by attacking them as we see Christian Cage & Mother Wayne peeping through the door at the attack. Joe ends it with ‘Tell your daddy, I said hi’. Christian then rushes in and pretends to not know what happened to Sabian & Wayne.

All Elderly Wrestling

MJF heads to the ring and brings up Jeff Jarrett, telling him that all he had to do was stay out of the way of MJF, and he just couldn’t do that, could he? So he taught him a lesson that AEW stands for All Elite Wrestling, not All Elderly Wrestling. And now that Jarrett is out of his way, he is one step closer to once again obtaining his Triple B. As he goes to do his catchphrase, Max Caster runs in and tries to warn MJF that Adam Page is coming after him, as Page’s music does hit. Page enters the ring as Caster escapes, and Page briefly comes face-to-face with MJF before Page runs into the crowd to chase after Caster.

MJF tries to continue, but Dustin Rhodes interrupts him. Rhodes tells MJF to keep Owen Hart’s name out of his mouth, or he’ll kick his teeth in. He tells him to keep people’s wives out of his mouth before saying how he is 16 years sober and how he kicked the Devil’s ass, and MJF isn’t the devil. Rhodes says he is a survivor and the last of his kind because he survived everything that MJF can even think of. Rhodes says when he is gone, the mold will be broken forever, and he is better than MJF. MJF tells the crowd to give it up for Rhodes but says all the years of Rhodes being a drug addict made his brain Swiss cheese, to come up with the realization that he’s better than MJF. MJF says Rhodes is the man who took 37 years just to get out of his daddy’s shadow. He continues that after all that hard work and sacrifice, now he lives in the shadow of his little, baby brother. This causes Rhodes to start attacking MJF as security runs out to keep them apart. Christopher Daniels is also there as MJF leaves and brings up how Adam Page did a number on him.

Queen Aminata vs. Toni Storm

Mariah May joins commentary for this match, as Justin Roberts introduces Toni Storm as playing the role of ‘The Glamour’ Mariah May as Storm comes out to May’s music and gear, doing all her mannerisms. May brings up how she did ‘this thing’ already weeks ago as Serena Deeb is seen watching on from the back. Storm sends Queen Aminata spilling to the outside with a hip attack off the apron, but Aminata comes right back with a tope as we head to break.

As we return, Excalibur jokingly keeps calling Toni Storm ‘Mariah’ as Mariah asks Tony Schiavone if Storm is missing ‘two things’ as she presses up her breasts to him. Aminata takes control by taking out Storm with a dropkick against the ropes while mocking ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm, as May calls this women’s division a joke. Storm comes back with a hip attack before hitting the May Day on Aminata to get the pin and the win.

Winner: Toni Storm by pinfall at 9:00

Renee Paquette is in the ring as Toni Storm tells her to call her Mariah May before she starts mocking her catchphrases. The real Mariah May gets on the apron, before leaving.

We go to Dustin Rhodes in the back and tell MJF that he’s still here and that he lives for blood, sweat & tears, and he’s around for a reason, and next Tuesday night, he’s going to beat MJF’s ass. (Note: Dynamite is taping on Tuesday but is scheduled to air on Wednesday)

Live From ALT

We go to The Learning Tree on the ramp, who have a ‘very special live edition of the New York Minute.’ Chris Jericho welcomes us to the ‘ALT’ and brings up Bandido and how nobody wants him here in AEW. Jericho then brings up the bounty on Bandido’s head and says he will double it to $200,000 if Bryan Keith takes out Bandido on Collision as Big Bill did to Powerhouse Hobbs. This prompts Hobbs to come out and brawl with them before The Outrunners join in. Hobbs & Bill both grab security guards and take turns choking slamming them on the outside. Bill & Hobbs continue to brawl and end up spilling over the commentary table before it gets cut off to go to commercial.

When we returned they were still getting separated in the back.

Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana) vs. Ricochet

As Swerve Strickland is making his way out, Ricochet attacks him from behind with a chair and continues to attack him with it before the bell can ring, before they enter the ring and the match starts. Ricochet right away hits him with a knee and the Vertigo, but Swerve kicks out at two. This is their third time having a one-on-one match, with the last time happening in 2017 for the MLW One-Shot show that relaunched that company. They go fighting on the outside and start brawling while standing on the barricade as Swerve powerbombs Ricochet onto it. They make their way back to the ring as we head to break.

We come back as the crowd is in a ‘Who’s Bald? Ricochet.’ chant. Swerve hits a power slam for a two-count and stays in control, hitting the House Call before heading to the top rope, where he hits the Swerve Stomp, just for Ricochet to kick out at two. Ricochet starts whipping Swerve’s neck on the rope and has a bit of trouble in the corner before hitting a German Suplex on the apron and a 450 springboard splash for two. Ricochet follows with a Shooting Star Press to the back of Swerve, but he kicks out at two. Ricochet sets up for the Spirit Gun, but Swerve stops him with a House Call followed by a Swerve Stomp attempt that Ricochet blocks with a low blow followed by the Spirit Gun to get the pin and the win.

Winner: Ricochet by pinfall at 13:25

Ricochet snatches The Embassy robe from Prince Nana and puts it on as the show comes to an end.
