Akam and Rezar of Authors of Pain have once again been released by WWE, according to reports.
Both Fightful and PWInsider reported the cuts on Friday evening.
PWInsider has also reported that Sonya Deville has been informed that her contract will be allowed to expire in February.
AOP’s manager, Paul Ellering, has also been released.
Akam, Rezar and Ellering were originally put together in NXT in 2016. When the tag team was called up to the main roster in 2018, they were instead managed by Drake Maverick.
During this period, AOP held the NXT Tag Team Championships and the Raw Tag Titles. However, they were released in 2020.
They were re-hired in 2022 and returned to television the following year, joining Karrion Kross and Scarlett in The Final Testament.
Deville was signed in 2015 after competing in that year’s season of Tough Enough.
These names join Cedric Alexander in parting ways with WWE.
