Ricky Starks ended KENTA’s reign as DEFY World Champion at an eventful show on Friday night.
In the main event of DEFY: Hundredth at Washington Hall, Seattle, WA, Starks kicked out of the Go To Sleep before defeating KENTA with the Roshambo.
KENTA had held the title for 615 days.
Starks was joined on the show by several other AEW-contracted talent, some of whom were not scheduled to appear.
Earlier in the event, Swerve Strickland’s theme played, but out came Ricochet, wearing The Embassy robe he stole during Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite.

He taunted the booing fans, telling them that Swerve was not there, but after the lights went out, Strickland appeared and the pair brawled.
Ricochet escaped and ran off after shoving Prince Nana into Strickland.
Other AEW talent on the show included Marina Shafir, who retained the DEFY Women’s Championship, and Nick Wayne.
