Hayashishita wants to share the ring with SKY again.

Rossy Ogawa’s Dream Star Fighting Marigold promotion ran Ryōgoku Sumo Hall for their Summer Destiny event in July 2024.

The semi-main event of the night was a singles bout between Utami Hayashishita and WWE’s IYO SKY. An interview with Hayashishita was uploaded to the HypeTalkTV YouTube channel and she reflected on the match with IYO.

Hayashishita admitted that she felt she was on a lower level than SKY, but that made her want to work harder. She is hoping to share the ring with SKY again, but as a tag team.

She’s already amazing. IYO SKY was someone who I’ve always been a fan and admirer of. In addition, became a star in America. From the moment she entered the ring, IYO had such an aura about her that I couldn’t help but watch even though I was about to wrestle her. Even after the match started, the quality level of each and every technique was incredibly high. I am very happy that I was able to fight, but I felt that I was still at a low level, which was frustrating, but made me want to work even harder.

My biggest dream for a long time was a match with IYO SKY. But when one dream comes true, you can’t help but want more. Next, I want to have another match with IYO SKY. I want to form a tag team with her, and I have many more dreams.

Fast-forward to present-day and Hayashishita is the reigning Marigold World Champion and on the March 3rd Monday Night Raw, SKY became WWE Women’s World Champion.
