Smith Jr. will be with the company until August.

Davey Boy Smith Jr.’s next run with All Japan Pro Wrestling is set to begin as the company is gearing up to present its Champion Carnival tournament.

While commenting on his status with AJPW, Smith Jr. said on Café dé René with René Duprée that he does five-month deals with AJPW.

All Japan have been doing great and I’m returning back for the Champion Carnival and then staying over there until August… I do five-months contracts with them at a time. So I stayed over there for five months. I’m going back March 27th — or March 26th I go back. I’m back in Canada right now just seeing some family. Then I’m gone away for about five months so…

The 2025 Champion Carnival begins on April 9th. Smith Jr. is in the A block bracket along with current Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion Jun Saito.

Smith Jr.’s Triple Crown Heavyweight Title reign was ended by Saito. The winner of the Champion Carnival earns a shot at the championship.
