Glazer is proud of the work that was done over the last 12 months.

Among the names that were recently let go from TNA Wrestling were Gail Kim, Ariel Shnerer, Rob Kligman, Michael Shewchenko and Romy Glazer.

An interview with Glazer was conducted by The Business of the Business podcast and she started out by speaking about the roles she had at the company.

Yeah, I was on the road with the TNA group, with everybody, the whole staff. I’d say probably from, jeez, May of last year or June of last year and then if there’s something that came up, you kind of would miss it, and have to skip one. But essentially, you gotta be there in a lot of cases. It’s really helpful to get a lot of work done, see people, shake hands, do the whole thing and not only that, it’s being around the fans and kind of immersing yourself in the brand is kind of, in my mind, what makes really good marketing. So, I always wanted to be there too with the fans and see what they were reacting to. But then also, helping out. So, I was on TNA+ when I started and then after Lou D’Angeli’s departure, I think maybe about this time last year, I kind of got pulled a little bit more in some of the live events digital marketing. But then also, supporting the live events team. So, Rafael (Morffi), Ross Forman, Greg Bagarozy, everyone in the stadium. So, I would work on high-level sort of marketing stuff during the day and then we’d go to the events and I’d be taking photos of fans with The Hardys at the meet-and-greets. So it’s just like, no job too small sort of thing. Great team atmosphere. When you’re at the events, go to work, meet people, shake hands. Immerse yourself in it.

Discussing her exit, Glazer said she was surprised but not surprised at the same time. She knows that anytime a new President comes into the fold, changes could be on the horizon, especially if that President is bringing their own team of employees. Glazer expressed that she is completely proud of that work that was accomplished over the last year.

I would say I was surprised (about being let go from TNA Wrestling)… but also not at the same time. Initially, I came in as part of the team with Anthony (Cicione) and Ariel (Shnerer) and kind of that group. When Carlos (Silva) — anytime there’s a new President — I was excited to work with him. He’s got a great résumé in private equity and in sports so, this is a decorated guy who comes in, and essentially, you kind of know when a new President comes in, you got time to prove yourself or not so much. They’re gonna be making the calls and so, in my world, you kind of knew that there were gonna be some changes that were gonna go on and you just kind of do your best to put your head down and keep working and so, was I surprised? For sure. But completely, very much proud of the work that we did over the past 12 months and by the way, he has his team and so, he brought in his team of people who have great résumés as well. So, I’m thrilled to see what they do with the brand. I’d like to think that we built a really great platform for them to keep rolling with and you know, really excited to see where it goes from here.

TNA Wrestling is moving towards their Unbreakable special on April 17th in Las Vegas, Nevada. After that, they’ll be presenting their Rebellion pay-per-view which is going to be headlined by a triple threat for the TNA World Championship featuring Frankie Kazarian, NXT’s Ethan Page and the champion Joe Hendry.
