
Sami Zayn expressed that he is not on board with the alliance that has been formed between Seth Rollins, Paul Heyman and Bron Breakker. Rollins and Heyman offered Zayn the opportunity to move to SmackDown so he can avoid being a target. Heyman later told Zayn that if he accepted the offer, Zayn would challenge the winner of John Cena and Randy Orton’s Undisputed WWE Title match which is taking place at Backlash. In the final segment of Raw, Zayn declined the offer and then Bron Breakker came out for an impromptu match. During the bout, Rollins gave Zayn the opportunity to accept the offer in exchange for Breakker to stop spearing him. Zayn told Rollins to “go to hell.” The match was thrown out by the referee after Breakker speared Zayn on the outside of the ring. Rollins Curb Stomped Sami to close the show.
Logan Paul called out Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship and Uso accepted his challenge. Their segment concluded with Uso superkicking Paul.
Making his WWE in-ring return will be Rusev and he’ll be facing Otis on 5/5. It’ll be his first match on Raw since February 2020.
There was a tag team match that saw the War Raiders (Ivar & Erik) taking on Judgment Day’s Finn Bálor and J.D. McDonagh. It was McDonagh’s first match since January when he suffered a punctured lung and broken ribs. Penta cost McDonagh and Bálor their bout against The War Raiders in retaliation for J.D. costing him his Intercontinental Title match against Dominik Mysterio on the Raw after WrestleMania. Penta versus McDonagh is set for 5/5.
Giulia showed up during a singles match between Rhea Ripley and Roxanne Perez in an attempt to distract Ripley. She ended up attacking Ripley and both her and Perez jumped Rhea. WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY made the save until Giulia and Perez got the better of her. Ripley got back in the ring and ran Perez and Giulia off.
NXT Women’s Champion Stephanie Vaquer bested Ivy Nile in a non-title singles match.
