A 25-man Battle Royal is going to take place on 5/6 to determine the challenger to Oba Femi’s NXT Championship at the Battleground PLE. Among those participating in the match will be Timothy Thatcher.

In the main event of the program, Jordynne Grace and WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY defeated Roxanne Perez and Giulia. A singles match between Grace and Giulia is set for 5/6 and the winner is going to challenge Stephanie Vaquer for her NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground.

While Oba Femi was being interviewed, The Undertaker showed up and heaped praise onto him. He told Femi NXT is his yard ‘for now,’ but he has some guys from WWE LFG that are coming after Femi. Anthony Luke, Jasper Troy and Shiloh Hill then walked into frame.

On commentary, Corey Graves acknowledged Meiko Satomura’s retirement match and congratulated her on her 30-year career.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry kicked off the show to address Trick Williams ambushing him at the conclusion of TNA’s Rebellion pay-per-view. Hendry called Williams out, but he ended up being attacked by DarkState (Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin & Dion Lennox). It is official that on 5/6, Hendry and NXT Tag Team Champions Hank Walker and Tank Ledger are facing DarkState. Hank and Tank had a title defense on the 4/29 program and retained over Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura.

Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo appeared via satellite and explained why he turned his back on The D’Angelo Family (Tony D’Angelo, Luca Crusifino & Adriana Rizzo) at NXT Stand & Deliver. He stated that Tony went soft. Stacks had security sent out to the ring where D’Angelo was, but they ended up going after Tony and he fought them off.

Chase University is officially back open, as announced by Andre Chase and he’s joined by Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon.

Ricky Saints had his third defense of the North American Championship and he retained over Lexis King.

Newly crowned Women’s North American Champion Sol Ruca bested Karmen Petrovic in a non-title match. After the bout, Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis was in Petrovic’s ear about her loss and she kicked him in the head.

Joining the 5/6 lineup is a singles match between Kelani Jordan and ZARIA.

Athletes from Grand Slam Track were seated in the front row.
