Myles Borne wins Battle Royal, challenging Oba Femi for NXT Championship at Battleground

Myles Borne earns the opportunity.

The next challenger to Oba Femi’s NXT Championship was determined on the 5/6 NXT on The CW. Highlights from the match includes Josh Briggs and Ridge Holland fighting on the ring apron and Yoshiki Inamura accidentally eliminating his partner Briggs.

Ethan Page eliminated TNA’s Zachary Wentz. There was a point when TNA World Champion Joe Hendry showed up to distract Trick Williams. The distraction led to Williams being eliminated by Elijah. Elijah and Hendry are taking on Williams and Frankie Kazarian at TNA Under Siege on 5/23. In the opening match of NXT, DarkState (Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin & Cutler James) defeated Hendry and NXT Tag Team Champions Hank and Tank. Trick showed up during the bout and pulled Hendry out of the ring to brawl.

Elijah was thrown out by Shawn Spears. The final four in the bout were Spears, Myles Borne, Je’Von Evans and Ethan Page. Spears and Page eliminated Evans, but it was Borne pulling out the victory as he dropkicked Page over the top rope and it broke Spears’ grip as he was hanging on to the rope to prevent himself from being eliminated.

Borne is now set to challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at Battleground on May 25th.
