Inamura’s stint with NXT comes to an end.
A Battle Royal to determine the next challenger to Oba Femi’s NXT Championship took place on the 5/6 NXT on The CW. Two of the participants in the match were partners Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura.
There was a point in the bout when Briggs and Ridge Holland were exchanging blows on the ring apron and Inamura tried to line Holland up for a spear, but he knocked his partner off the apron.
Inamura would be eliminated from the match and later in the show, Inamura approached Briggs and apologized. He stated that he spoke to General Manager Ava and he’ll be returning to Japan. Inamura wishes he could have been a better partner to Briggs.
After Inamura walked out of frame, Briggs was belittled by his former partner Brooks Jensen and fellow members of The Culling (Niko Vance & Izzi Dame).
Inamura came over to NXT from Pro Wrestling NOAH. He’s been with NXT since the fall of 2024.
