Bear Bronson is the latest talent set to depart AEW.
The performer posted that his contract would expire on Sunday, ending his nearly five-year affiliation with the promotion.
Alongside Bear Boulder, the team debuted as Bear Country in December 2020 and later changed their names to the Iron Savages.
The duo last wrestled for Ring of Honor in December and was followed by the news that Boulder (Thomas Wansaw) was arrested in January and faced battery charges for an alleged strangulation of his fiancée. AEW immediately cut Wansaw after the arrest was reported.
Bronson issued a statement in February condemning the actions of his former tag partner and felt blindsided by the news.
Since Wansaw’s release, Bronson has not wrestled for AEW or ROH but has been active on the independent scene.
