Making Good on a Bet
The final Monday Night Raw before Money in the Bank kicked off with Michael Cole making good on his bet with Pat McAfee and donning an Indiana Pacers jersey for the entirety of Raw. Cole was booed vociferously with the Pacers facing the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals. This segued into CM Punk coming out to the ring.

Punk’s Purview
CM Punk said it was the “Summer of Punk” and he would win Money in the Bank this Saturday for the third time. Punk said that whether he cashed in on Jey Uso or John Cena, he would be victorious, as it was time for him to be champion one more time. This brought out Sami Zayn, who stated that Punk must win tonight and that he and Jey Uso would take care of Breakker and Bronson later that night. Zayn then said that if Punk wins the title, they would face each other in the ring, and things would be different. The two shook hands as the segment ended.

Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
Backstage, Roxanne Perez approached Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, and Morgan told Roxanne to stay out of her match. Morgan then ran into IYO Sky, whom she said she would cash in to win back her Women’s World Championship. This led directly into the first Money in the Bank Qualifying Match of the evening, pitting Liv Morgan against Ivy Nile and Raw’s newest acquisition, Stephanie Vaquer. Before Vaquer came out, a promo package was shown with her explaining that wrestling was her whole life since she was little.

Vaquer had the crowd on her side early on, hitting the Devil’s Kiss on both her opponents. There was a triple German suplex as the show went to its first commercial break. During the break, the Tulsa crowd chanted “We want Truth”, referencing his recent announcement of his pending release. After the break, Vaquer continued to control the match until Morgan hit a double Codebreaker and attempted a double pin for a near fall. Morgan then hit Oblivion on Vaquer, but Ivy Nile tried to steal the pin to no avail. Vaquer then hit the SVB (or Stephanie Vaquer Bomb) on Nile for the win.

Backstage, Paul Heyman approached AJ Styles and tried to convince him that competing for the Money in the Bank title was too much work, and instead, he should focus on Dominik and the Intercontinental title. Styles scoffed and said he doesn’t respond well to threats.
Chad Gable was out next during the commercial break and said that El Grande Americano would win the Money in the Bank Qualifying Match later tonight, and he will defeat El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship at Worlds Collide this Saturday. After that, a Rusev video package aired with him addressing Sheamus, saying that he has a “body of granite, but a neck of sand” and to stay out of his way. Sheamus was backstage and trying to cheer up Tozawa after his loss last week. Sheamus complimented Alpha Academy, saying they had heart. Sheamus then ran down Rusev, saying that his career outside of WWE “lasted just as long as Rusev Day – 24 hours”.
Judgment Day vs. War Raiders
The next match saw Judgment Day’s Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh taking on the War Raiders with The New Day on commentary. The War Raiders dominated the early goings of the match and eventually scared The New Day, which led to the referee ejecting them from ringside.

Backstage during the commercial, The New Day was telling Grayson Waller that Austin Theory was holding him back. American Made then interrupted and asked what had happened the previous week. The Creeds said that they were going to be the ones to take the titles. Stephanie Vaquer was interviewed in the back after her win, but was interrupted by Rhea Ripley, who shook her hand and said she’d see her Saturday.

Lyra Valkyria came down to the ring and called Becky Lynch out. Lynch came out, and Valkyria called her delusional, saying she had given up being a good person. Valkyria noted that no one else in the world had hurt her more than Becky. Becky responded by saying that the thing that would hurt the most would be raising her hand after winning Valkyria’s title. Lynch started to leave, and Valkyria chased her down and the two brawled on the stage before being separated by officials.

Jey Uso & Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed
Next up, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn teamed up to take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed with Paul Heyman. Notably, this was Bronson Reed’s first match back after breaking both ankles jumping off the cage at War Games. Reed dominated the early portion of the match, getting the heat on Zayn until finally Uso and Breakker were tagged in. Zayn was then caught by Breakker and Reed while executing a dive to the outside, but Jey Uso then dove after him, taking them all out. Seth Rollins then appeared, hitting the Stomp on Jey Uso and getting the disqualification. Bronson Reed was going to jump off the top rope and onto Zayn on the announce table, but CM Punk appeared and hit everyone with a chair before chasing Rollins off. Rollins told Breakker and Reed that they know where Punk will be later and to wait to go after him.

Backstage, Liv Morgan confronted Finn Bálor about letting Roxanne Perez into the clubhouse while she was gone. Bálor pointed out that Perez helped him and JD earlier in the night. Liv said that she would be in Raquel’s corner tonight and that Finn could babysit Roxanne. Dom then tried to apologize about the chair last week, and Bálor accepted the apology and smacked the Intercontinental title hard, which irked Dom. This led directly into the next match.
Raquel Rodriguez vs. Kairi Sane
Next was Raquel Rodriguez taking on Kairi Sane, with Liv Morgan nailing Sane early on behind the referee’s back. The crowd again chanted for R-Truth during this match, as they had earlier in the night. Sane was setting up for the Insane Elbow when Liv Morgan jumped up onto the apron. This brought out IYO Sky, who took out Morgan. Sane then successfully hit the Insane Elbow on Rodriguez for the win.

After that, a lengthy promo package aired highlighting the story behind Jey Uso and Gunther’s World Heavyweight Championship match next week. Gunther then approached Jey in the locker room and said he would take the championship because he refuses to think with his head instead of his heart. Gunther then noted that Jey was not 100% because he had to help his friends, and he also had to face John Cena and Logan Paul two days before their title match.

Money in the Bank Qualifying Match
The main event of the evening was the Men’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match with AJ Styles taking on El Grande Americano and CM Punk. Before the match began, Styles and Punk asked the referee to check Americano for the metal plate he often hides in his match. The action was fast and furious, with all three men trading offense. Punk then attempted to remove Americano’s mask but was thwarted. Styles then attempted the Styles Clash, but Americano reversed and got Styles into the Ankle Lock. Punk then attempted the GTS on Americano, but he also reversed into the Ankle Lock.

Styles then successfully hit Americano with the Styles Clash, and Punk broke up the pinfall. Punk then hit the GTS on Americano, but Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed pulled Punk out of the ring and attacked him. Jey Uso and Sami Zayn then ran out to even the odds. AJ Styles then did a top rope dive onto all four men. Americano then put something in his mask and headbutted Styles as he was going for the Phenomenal Forearm. With that, El Grande Americano earned the final spot in the Men’s Money in the Bank match.
