Dominik Mysterio retained his Intercontinental Championship against AAA’s Octagon Jr. at Money in the Bank.

The match was added to the PLE card only hours before the show after a confrontation earlier in the day at AAA/WWE Worlds Collide.

Octagon got the better of Mysterio in the early going until Dominick tied the luchador’s mask to the bottom rope and hit him with a series of stomps.

Mysterio was accompanied by Liv Morgan, while Octagon Jr. was cheered on by AAA performers in the front row.

In the brief match, Morgan would distract Octagon, allowing Mysterio to set his opponent up for the 619 and a frog splash for the win.
