A venue synonymous with ECW will play host to a celebration of life for one of the promotion’s biggest stars, Sabu.
A free-to-attend service for the late Sabu will take place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on June 25 from 7 to 11 p.m.

Wrestling legend Sabu, real name Terrance Michael Brunk, passed away last month at the age of 61.
Through his multi-decade career, Sabu is arguably best known for his influence in hardcore wrestling. He became a star in ECW as a “living version of Hannibal Lecter,” as described in an obituary written by POST’s John Pollock.
The 2300 Arena, referred to by some fans as “ECW Arena,” played host to many of Sabu’s most memorable matches.
Just a few days before the gathering in Philadelphia, a memorial service for Sabu will take place at Copper Moon, 1247 Center St. in Lansing, Michigan on June 21. Just like the 2300 Arena service, it will be open for the public to attend.
A service is also expected to happen in Las Vegas on a date to be announced.
A GoFundMe is currently raising money for the funeral service, as well as a headstone & plot cremation service from a funeral home. Over $58,000 has been given by a total of more than 470 donors thus far.
