El Phantasmo is off this weekend’s New Japan Soul events due to an injury.

The NJPW Television Champion will miss Saturday’s event in Yamagata and Sunday’s card in Fukushima.

ELP sustained a right knee injury earlier this week, which takes him out of the main event of both shows. He was set to team with Hirooki Goto & Shota Umino against Zack Sabre Jr., Ryohei Oiwa & Hartley Jackson on both nights.

On Saturday, Goto & Umino will now team with Oleg Boltin, and then Tomoaki Honma will fill in for Sunday’s six-man tag match.

The current tour runs until July 6, and then, the G1 Climax begins on July 19.

Saturday, June 21, in Yamagata at 5 a.m. ET:
*Hirooki Goto, Shota Umino & Oleg Boltin vs. Zack Sabre Jr., Ryohei Oiwa & Hartley Jackson
*Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Tomoaki Honma
