Jon Moxley takes tune-up win over AR Fox
After an eventful few days in Mexico, AEW returned stateside for an episode of Collision on Saturday night from Kent, Washington.
Backstage, Stokely Hathaway spoke about how FTR will bounce back in eight-man action later tonight when they tag with Protoshita to face Paragon, Badido and Daniel Garcia.
After the usual intro, we went to the accesso ShoWare Center, where a match involving the AEW World Champion kicked off the night. In a non-title bout, Jon Moxley faced off against AR Fox.
Fox showcased his usual crafty skills early in the match, including a moonsault to the outside off a turnbuckle. The veteran was at a disadvantage against Mox, as Death Riders member Wheeler Yuta was at ringside and willing to use dirty tactics when possible. Yuta was able to prevent a top-rope move from Fox two-and-a-half minutes into the bout, delaying the babyface and allowing Moxley to score a superplex.
Fox showed resilience against the champ, escaping a submission and sending Mox to the outside with a kick. He then came flying over the top rope with a dive to the outside. Fox was on a roll, throwing Moxley back into the ring and then taking Yuta out.
Fox scored a pair of cutters back in the ring. Was he closing in on a massive upset against the champ? Nope. Moxley got up after the second cutter and scored a hard lariat, getting himself back into the contest. After connecting with a piledriver, Moxley landed a series of ground and pound punches before slipping in a rear naked choke that put Fox to sleep and secured him a win in just under six minutes. It was an impressive effort from Fox, but not enough to get the win.
Moxley wasn’t done with Fox after the fight, keeping a hold of the choke after the bell and briefly continuing to beat up on him for another minute. Moxley then grabbed a microphone to address his All In opponent, Hangman Adam Page.
“I’ve been watching this guy piss away his god-given gifts for years, and I don’t have the same patience as you guys for your boy, the Hangman,” Moxley said. “I’m sick of waiting for him to get his act together.”
Moxley then said that he’s going to “run the Hangman out of this sport for good” at All In.
Backstage, Paragon’s Adam Cole said his team is going to “keep the party rolling” after their success in Mexico City earlier this week.
Heel team scores win in men’s All-Star match
In the first of two all-star matchups set for this evening’s Collision, we saw Protoshita (Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher) and FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) take on Bandido, Daniel Garcia, and Paragon (Adam Cole & Roderick Strong).
The first five minutes of the match saw Bandido and Garcia specifically get a fair amount of shine in the ring. Bandido tried for a tope suicida onto FTR, but was caught and tossed into the commentary table just before a commercial break.
Bandido took out Harwood with a torneo off the top rope right as the match returned, allowing Cole to get a hot tag onto Fletcher, who also tagged in. The TNT Champion earned a two-count after a long string of moves ended with a backstabber.
Strong got into the match, as did Harwood once again. Strong gave him a double knees, then Cole hit a Shining Wizard. A follow-up pin attempt was broken up by Wheeler.
Harwood hit a superplex onto Strong, then Wheeler landed a frogsplash off the top. A hectic series of moves started at this point, with everybody entering the ring for a quick spot. After each wrestler got wiped out by a move, everybody involved in the match got up at the same time for a striking exchange.
After the ring got cleared out once again, FTR tried for a Shatter Machine onto Strong, but Cole stopped the attempt. Fletcher took out Cole with a kick. Strong was able to resist another Shatter Machine attempt, but after taking a thrust kick from Fletcher, FTR was able to land the finisher onto Strong upon the third attempt, earning their side the win in just under 12 minutes.
The heel squad attempted to beat up on the babyface side even more afterward, but were stopped after The Outrunners ran in for the save.
Backstage, the babyface side of the women’s tag match mentioned their intentions later tonight. TayJay want to get their hands on Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford. Queen Aminata wants to face Thekla again, and Thunder Rosa wants her hands on Athena.
When the heel team was seen backstage, Athena spoke about how she doesn’t like anyone else on her team, and that tonight’s about her. Ford stopped Bayne from attacking her as the segment came to an end.
Swerve Strickland scores win over Shane Taylor in return to Washington
The broadcast played an interview from Wednesday with Mercedes Moné after she won a CMLL title at Grand Slam Mexico. When asked about the attack she suffered from Toni Storm after her victory, Moné said that her win against Zeuxis showed what she’ll do when they face off at All In. “See you in Texas, bitch.”
"Toni, you think you're going to play mind games with me? Well, I'm the master of any game."

Washington’s own Swerve Strickland appeared in singles action against Shane Taylor next. Taylor was rolling deep: Carlie Bravo, Lee Moriarty, Shawn Dean and Trish Adora were all in his corner for this match. Strickland, of course, had Prince Nana on his side.
A fair amount of focus was put on ringside activities during the match, as those nearby were seemingly gambling on the bout as it happened. They convinced Tony Schiavone to place a bet at one point.
Taylor scored a splash onto Strickland while on the ring apron just before a commercial break, and continued to have control of the match until the broadcast returned.
Strickland started to get back into the bout, avoiding a splash in the corner from Taylor. He scored a running knee strike to the head of Taylor for a near fall. A minute later, Strickland reversed a splash from Taylor into an arm submission. Taylor escaped the hold and then caught Strickland with a knee strike of his own for a near fall.
Taylor climbed to the top rope. Strickland met him at the top, where he scored a super back bodydrop. The match went to the ring apron once again, where Strickland hit a Swerve Stomp off the top rope. Strickland saw Taylor’s crew messing with Nana at ringside, causing him to wipe them out with a dive.
Strickland came back into the ring, where he hit a House Call to win in nine minutes. He celebrated with Prince Nana, who held the money he won from gambling at ringside.
Toni Storm won’t be overlooked
AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm appeared onstage for a promo. She mentioned that Mercedes Moné is currently still in Mexico… So don’t expect a run-in here.
Storm felt that she hadn’t been given enough credit by Moné ahead of their All In: Texas match. “I want to say this as nicely as possible: Mercedes, I am not some motherf*****. I am Timeless Toni Storm. I am the AEW Women’s World Champion, and if you make one false move, I am going to eat you alive.”
"When this belt is in my bosom, I make magic happen!"

Storm admitted that her run will come to an end one day, and that when it ends, Moné would be the most deserving person to be the champ. But, to take the title off her now, Moné will have to kill her.
The Conglomeration welcomes in Hologram
In his first appearance as part of The Conglomeration, Hologram teamed with Mark Briscoe and Willow Nightingale to take on MxM Collection and Taya Valkyrie.
Hologram’s first night as part of The Conglomeration wasn’t easy. He spent the first half of the match getting isolated on the heel side, with Mason Madden and Mansoor taking turns picking on him.
A long beatdown built to a hot tag to Briscoe, who handled a two-on-one situation against the MxM Collection. His momentum was slightly slowed by Johnny TV, who at ringside held Briscoe’s legs, preventing him from attempting his elbow drop to the floor.
Briscoe got taken out by a springboard dropkick from Mansoor. Hologram came in and wiped out Mansoor with a Spanish Fly. Valkyrie landed a hurricanrana off the ropes onto Hologram. Nightingale gave Vaklyrie a spinebuster.
Mansoor attempted to attack Nightingale, but was picked on by the babyface trio, who all got back into the ring. Hologram gave Mansoor a Portal Bomb. Hologram and Briscoe did stereo tope suicidas to the outside, then Briscoe came off the top with the Froggy Bow elbow drop for the pinfall win. All things considered, a solid night for The Conglomeration.
Another tense encounter with the Death Riders — but this time, @callmekrisstat found herself face-to-face with World Champion Jon Moxley.

Backstage, Kris Statlander was asked her thoughts on Nightingale’s win. She mentioned how she’s fed up with being asked about how everyone else is doing. This is when she was approached by Wheeler Yuta, who has been trying to get her into the Death Riders recently. Statlander shoved Yuta after he refused to get out of her face.
She then turned around and ran into Jon Moxley, who picked up her phone, which she dropped while shoving Yuta. Moxley told Statlander: “Don’t ever, ever, let anybody tell you who you are or what you’re worth.” The live crowd chanted, “We can’t hear you.”
Kota Ibushi is a friend of Kenny Omega
Don Callis, Josh Alexander, and Lance Archer came to the ring for an interview with Tony Schiavone.
Callis brought out the family’s latest addition, whom he dubbed the greatest wrestler in New Japan Pro Wrestling history, Kazuchika Okada.
The family wanted to gloat about the bloody assault they did on Kenny Omega a little over a week ago, so they played footage of the attack once again. Callis gloated that he doesn’t think Omega will “make it to All In.”
Callis said that Omega will be alone if he even makes it to All In, since he doesn’t have any friends. Mark Briscoe, who just won in tag action, came out to protest this claim.

“I’m his friend,” Briscoe said about Omega. “But you know what? I’m not his only friend.” Then, a surprising name appeared: Kota Ibushi.
Shirtless and ripped, the Golden Lovers tag partner walked to the ring, where he took out Alexander with a kick to the head. He then went face-to-face with Okada, causing the former NJPW talents to start exchanging strikes. Okada was eventually sent retreating after taking a kick to the chest.
It was announced later on the broadcast that Ibushi will appear on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite.
Christian Cage eyes tag title run alongside Nick Wayne
The broadcast returned to chaos: The Workhorsemen were brawling around the ring against Big Bill and Bryan Keith.
Anthony Henry was slammed through a setup of four chairs. Right after this occurred, Christian Cage and his posse appeared on the ramp. Cage mentioned that this was actually booked to be his time in the ring, as he had an announcement to make.
Cage said that it’s time for Nick Wayne to embark on a journey alongside him. He pitched that they would become the first-ever father-son duo to become AEW Tag Team Champions in due time.
Bill said Cage is the father-in-law to Wayne, as, from what he’s heard about Momma Wayne, the biological father could be anybody. Cage made fun of Bill’s past with alcoholism. Very classy exchange here. Bill called for a match between the two teams, but Cage isn’t going to face them tonight.
We saw a clip from Summer Blockbuster, where Billy Gunn tried to give Anthony Bowens a pep talk after his loss to Kyle Fletcher. Bowens, who is fed up with losing and said he doesn’t want to become Max Caster, said they need to get their act together.
JetSpeed get win in front of Ricochet
The co-main event saw JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey) meet the Gates of Agony’s Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona. Ricochet was on commentary during this match.
While Knight and Bailey were clearly the A-Side of this match, they struggled in the early minutes against the huge and towering Gates of Agony. It was only after a commercial break that Knight got things started for the babyface duo, taking out Kaun with a springboard lariat.
Bailey got a hot tag, then came flying off the top with a dropkick. They tried for a standing moonsault onto Kaun, but he rolled out of the way (Bailey kind of landed on Kaun’s legs). JetSpeed had an impressive double-team move, with Knight giving Kaun a hurricanrana off the top, falling into a powerbomb from Bailey.
Liona got into the ring and caught both Bailey and Knight for a back body drop. He gave a hip attack in the corner to Bailey, then Kaun did a double knees. They tried to double-team Bailey, but Knight stopped the move. Liona dropped Knight with a headbutt. Gates of Agony tried for an Open The Gates on Knight, but he reversed it into a DDT onto both of them.
Knight and Bailey did sterero dives to the outside. Liona and Knight got wiped out at ringside, leaving things to just Bailey and Kaun in the ring. Kaun scored a brainbuster and then a lungblower, but it earned him just a two-count. He tried to follow up with another move, but Bailey scored a knees to the body and then a spinning heel kick.
Bailey did a springboard moonsault to the outside onto Liona while he tagged Knight in. Knight came off the top with a huge frogsplash to give JetSpeed the pinfall victory.
Athena leans on help from ROH friends to win All-Star tag
The second of two all-star tag bouts closed out the night. As mentioned before, it was Athena, Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford, and Thekla who took on Queen Aminata, Anna Jay, Tay Melo, and Thunder Rosa. Athena was notably accompanied by Billie Starkz at ringside (this will become important later). Also worth noting that this was Melo’s second appearance since returning to AEW just recently.
This match had a brawling start, with tons of action around the ring alongside the legal action on the mat. The broadcast went to a break after Aminata and Ford both delivered top-rope dives to the outside.

Thekla and Aminata, who had a singles matchup last week, had a brief sequence after the broadcast returned. Later, Bayne delivered a German Suplex onto both Jay and Melo, an impressive feat.
Hot tags went to Rosa and Athena, who traded blows in the middle of the ring. Rosa was able to lay Athena out with a dropkick and then a neckbreaker. Ford broke up a pin attempt, then hit Rosa with a cutter.
Melo gave Ford a piledriver, but was taken out by a clothesline from Bayne right after. Jay wiped out Bayne with a DDT. Thekla scored a huge spear onto Jay, but then was taken out by newfound rival Aminata. Athena got back into the action, delivering a piledriver to Aminata.
It went back to Athena and Rosa. Rosa scored a Death Valley Driver, but Starkz at ringside was able to distract the referee from counting a follow-up pin attempt. As the referee was still looking away, Red Velvet appeared at ringside and slid the ROH Women’s World Championship to Athena. The belt was struck into the head of Rosa, allowing Athena to score the pinfall win.
Just before the show came to an end, it was announced that a Casino Gauntlet match will take place at All In: Texas.
