New Japan Pro Wrestling has signed Olympic gold medalist Aaron Wolf.
The promotion held a press conference on Monday to tout the signing of the judoka, who took gold at the Summer Olympics held in Tokyo four years ago.
The 29-year-old became a big name in Japan after the Olympics and is targeting a debut at Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4, 2026, at the Tokyo Dome.
Bushiroad CEO Takaaki Kidani characterized Wrestle Kingdom as “the end of one era and the beginning of another,” referring to Hiroshi Tanahashi’s retirement and Wolf’s debut.
