Friday Night SmackDown moving back to two hours

Friday Night SmackDown is moving to two hours.

The announcement was made on today’s episode with a pair of mentions by Michael Cole, who said it would move to the new format beginning next week for the show in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

SmackDown expanded to three hours at the beginning of the year on the USA Network and worldwide on Netflix. USA will be airing new episodes of Resident Alien in the 10- 11 p.m. ET slot.

Next week’s episode will be taped this Monday in Pittsburgh with Raw airing live at a special start time of 6 p.m. ET.
