Bea Priestley’s return to STARDOM is set.
The former World of Stardom Champion will come back for the promotion’s Five Star Grand Prix this year, battling it out alongside 31 other women in the massive tournament, as announced Saturday.
Priestley will appear in the Red Stars A block in the upcoming tournament, which kicks off July 27 in Tokyo, Japan. Block action will see her face Saya Kamitani, Hanan, Mei Seira, Yuna Mizumori, Lady C, Waka Tsukiyama, and Azusa Inaba in singles action.
If she places in the top three of her eight-woman block following the end of round robin action, Priestley will advance to a single-elimination 12-woman tournament. The semi-finals and grand finals of the bracket will both be held on August 23.
The announcement marks Priestley’s first scheduled appearance in STARDOM since 2021, when she left the promotion to begin her WWE run as Blair Davenport.
STARDOM played a significant role in Priestley’s pre-WWE career, wrestling nearly 200 times for them over the course of half a decade.
Priestley made her first post-WWE appearance in May, defeating Viva Van at NJPW’s Resurgence card. She then appeared in Texas last month as part of a SPARK indie show.
The upcoming tour will be Priestley’s second-ever Five Star Grand Prix. She previously appeared in the 2019 edition of the tournament, coming up short with a second-place finish in her block, preventing her from facing Red Stars finalist Hana Kimura in the finals.
While she has won tag tournaments for STARDOM before, she’ll look for her first-ever singles tournament success when appearing in the tour later this month.
