Syuri issued a challenge to end Stardom’s Crimson Nightmare event to set up a major title match for Wrestle Kingdom 20.

Saya Kamitani retained the World of Stardom Championship & STRONG Women’s Championship against Momo Watanabe in the main event of Monday’s card at Ota Ward City Gymnasium.

After, she was confronted by Syuri, who had wrestled earlier in the evening. The challenge was made for January 4 for a Double Title Match at the Tokyo Dome with Kamitani defending the STRONG Women’s title and Syuri defending the IWGP Women’s title.

Syuri recently won the IWGP women’s title at King of Pro Wrestling from Sareee and had yet to defend the belt. The two have wrestled twice, with Syuri beating Kamitani in July 2021 in the 5Star Grand Prix and wrestling to a draw later that year.

Before Wrestle Kingdom, Kamitani will defend the World of Stardom title against Saori Anou at Dream Queendom on December 29 at Ryogoku Kokugikan at the promotion’s annual year-end show.

There was one title change on the Crimson Nightmare show with Konami defeating Starlight Kid to win the Wonder of Stardom Championship and ending her 309-title reign. Starlight Kid won the belt at last December’s Dream Queendom show from Natsupoi, and it’s Konami’s first singles title in the promotion.
