It looks like Nashville is back in the discussion for hosting a future Wrestlemania.
Reports from both Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline and WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select have recently stated that WWE is in “active negotiations” regarding a future Wrestlemania possibly taking place in Nashville, Tennessee.
If finalized, WWE would take its biggest event of the year to the new Nissan Stadium, the future home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans. The 70,000-capacity venue is scheduled to open next year.
City officials hope that an announcement regarding the event could be made soon, Fightful wrote on Thursday.
If WWE hosts Mania in Nashville, it likely won’t be for some time.
Next year’s show is scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. WWE is also expected to eventually give New Orleans, Louisiana, another Mania, although it hasn’t been specified how long they’ll have to wait before getting that event. New Orleans was originally expected to host the 2026 Mania, but then WWE changed plans and instead booked a return to Las Vegas.
The latest reports aren’t the first time news has surfaced about Nashville trying to bring Wrestlemania to the city. Earlier this month, tourism groups and others involved with trying to attract the event to Nashville told Fox 17 that they were hoping to be the host city in 2027, but that the “date didn’t work out” for the event.
Nick Khan has hyped up the company’s 2028 WrestleMania destination to employees, per information reported earlier this week by POST Wrestling. Khan was heard recently saying, “Wait until you hear the announcement on where we’re going” in 2028 at a recent staff town hall.
