No Disqualifications Match

TNA Thursday Night Impact kicked off with a No DQ Match between Eric Young and EC3. Eric Young attempted to jump EC3 before the bell, but EC3 was able to evade and take control early as the match began. The action quickly spilled out, and weapons came into play as each man used chairs and garbage cans on the other.

After a commercial break, the crowd was chanting “we want fire” as Eric Young pummeled EC3 with low blow after low blow. Young then introduced a steel chain, choking and whipping EC3 with it. EC3 recovered, hitting Young with the TKO while the chain was wrapped around his neck. He followed that up by wrapping a chair around Young’s neck and hitting a Drop Toe Hold and the One Percenter. Young then hit three more low blows in a row and piledrove EC3 through a table on the outside. Young then finished EC3 off with another piledriver onto a chair for the win.

Arianna Grace and Stacks were interviewed backstage, where she said Lei Ying Lee should not be receiving a rematch. They both complained about Santino Marella making her jump through hoops. Stacks alluded to having a plan for the match that he would reveal later tonight.

The System cut a promo saying they would take down Nic Nemeth and KC Navarro, as well as Moose and Leon Slater, later tonight.

Elayna Black Speaks

Elayna Black cut an in-ring promo, saying she would take down whoever comes out with the TNA Knockouts title tonight. The Personal Concierge and Ash by Elegance interrupted, calling Black a “gothic prostitute”. This brought out Indi Hartwell, and the three argued about who would be the next champion. Hartwell called every aspect of Ash “fake,” including her hair, teeth, and boobs. The two came to blows as Elyana Black looked on from afar.

Daria Rae was on the phone backstage and said someone canceled Santino Marella’s flight, so he was not there tonight.

Tag Team Championship

The next match saw The System defending their tag titles against Nic Nemeth and KC Navarro. The champs took control early on, with Bear Bronson taking it to Nic Nemeth. Alisha Edwards got involved behind the referee’s back, attacking Nemeth with multiple shots. Brian Meyers tagged in and went for the Roster Cut but was caught with a Famouser. Nemeth then hit a dive on Edwards and Alexander on the outside, but was hit with a spear from Myers. KC Navarro hit the 305, but then was grabbed by Alisha Edwards. This allowed Bear Bronson to hit Bear Down for the win. The System demanded that Leon Slater and Moose come down for their match so that they could continue their dominance.

The System vs. Slater & Moose

Next up, Leon Slater and Moose took on The System’s Eddie Edwards and Cedric Alexander. After a commercial break, the bell rang, and Slater and Moose took control of the early goings. Edwards then whipped Slater into the corner, and he flipped over the turnbuckle and spilled to the outside as the show went back to ad break.

Upon return, Moose and Slater were in full control as The System couldn’t seem to find a counter to either of their opponents’ offenses. Things broke down from there with all four men fighting simultaneously until finally Moose was able to reverse an Edwards pin attempt to pick up the win.
