Sareee’s much-anticipated AEW debut didn’t come to pass, but it probably won’t be her only chance to debut with the promotion.
The 30-year-old took to social media Thursday to apologize for not being able to compete against Skye Blue in the Owen Hart Cup.
I was very disappointed that I couldn’t participate in this great tournament and I apologize to the fans who were excited for it. I definitely want to return to AEW. Looking forward to that day.
AEW President Tony Khan responded to her post by telling her that the door is open for her in AEW.
No apologies are necessary! Heal up, good luck in your recovery, and you’re welcome to come back here anytime, the door to @AEW is open for you!

Takumi Iroha was believed to be Sareee’s injury replacement if she was not cleared. However, Maya World ultimately filled in and defeated Blue in an emotional victory.
Iroha did wrestle World’s tag team partner Hyan at ROH Global Wars: Cincinnati. Sareee also was at the event and posted a backstage picture with her tag team partner and Khan.
