Masa Kitamiya is the leader of the A Block for NOAH’s N-1 Victory tournament following a main event win on Thursday night.
A top-rope senton from Kitamiya allowed him to score a pinfall victory over Manabu Soya, the only other wrestler in the B Block who had been undefeated up to that point. The pinfall victory in the main event of a card from Hiroshima put Kitamiya first in the B Block following Night 5.
Kitamiya is notably the 2025 N-1 Victory winner and will be looking for back-to-back trophies this year. He is the only undefeated name remaining in this year’s tourney thus far.
Tetsuya Endo put his feet on the ropes for leverage while going for a pinfall, a tactic which allowed him to sneak by Kenoh with a quick pinfall victory today. A frustrated Kenoh, who jumped Endo before the bell, protested the decision to no avail.
Recent NOAH debutant Kouga remains winless following a close matchup against Titus Alexander on Thursday night. While a flurry of kicks earned Kouga a near fall, Alexander battled back into the match and scored a pinfall with a deadlift German Suplex. The N-1 Victory is Kouga’s first NOAH tour since coming back from an excursion.
Similarly, still absent from the win column is KENTA, who lost to OZAWA in Thursday’s co-main event. After some help from Yoshitatsu to remain in the match at times, OZAWA was able to catch KENTA with a roll-up pinfall for the victory.
NOAH will take a couple of days off before returning with an N-1 Victory show this Sunday from Osaka (broadcasting late Saturday night in North America). Focused on the A Block, the show will include a Ryogoku Sumo Hall rematch in the main event when former GHC champs Yoshiki Inamura and Shane Haste face off.
