Ex-WWE and TNA Wrestling talent Cassie Lee made her in-ring return last weekend.
Formerly known as Peyton Royce in WWE, Lee worked a match against Toronto local Alexia Nicole on Saturday afternoon, marking her first appearance since October 2023.
Her match took place at a SMASH Wrestling card that was held right across the street from WWE’s Elimination Chamber event at the Rogers Centre.
The Australian wrestler welcomed her second son into the world in 2024, explaining her year-long absence from the ring. Lee hadn’t appeared since she worked a tour with Australian promotion WSW in 2023, wrestling on six shows across the country.
Before then, her last appearances were from a one-year run in TNA Wrestling, having a brief tag run alongside long-time tag partner Jessie McKay (formerly Billie Kay) as The Iinspiration.
Her work with McKay is not done yet. The tag duo is soon to reunite once again, as McKay and Lee are set to work as a tag team at Prestige Wrestling’s Wrestlemania weekend show: “Nothing to Lose.”
