AEW talent Eddie Kingston only has a few independent wrestling appearances left in his career, per a recent social media post.

The former AEW Continental Champion said on Threads this week that he’s currently on his “last indy run,” only taking one independent show per month after he finishes his dates this weekend. By November 2026, Kingston plans to phase out independent bookings altogether.

“So this is my last indy run,” Kingston said on Tuesday night. “Doing Beyond [Wrestling] and a show in Jersey this weekend. After that I am taking only one show a month. By next November I am done with the indies and yeah nothing more too it. As of now I ha e December and March, April, May.”

The aforementioned two shows he’s scheduled to appear on this weekend are: Beyond Wrestling’s Novembercanrana show in Cranston, Rhode Island on Friday, then a Pro Wrestling Junkie show in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey on Sunday.

Kingston is certainly no stranger to the indies, with database Cagematch.net listing that he has worked over 130 promotions over his two-and-a-half-decade career. But in the late years of his time as a performer, he is placing his focus mainly on AEW, where he has wrestled the majority of his bouts since 2020.

The “Mad King” made his return to the ring in September, defeating Big Bill at AEW All Out 2025. He had been out of the ring for over a year after suffering a multitude of serious injuries at a 2024 NJPW card.

King has remained active since, appearing on five AEW TV matches in the past few weeks.
