A rematch between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao is confirmed to take place later this year on Netflix.

The streamer has announced their latest combat sports event for Saturday, September 19, at Sphere in Las Vegas with a rematch of the most-purchased fight in combat history.

For years, the two had been linked together for a potential dream fight, and it finally occurred in May 2015. The fight set records with a reported 4.6 million pay-per-view buys and a live gate of $72.2 million at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Mayweather Jr. is set to turn 49 this week, while Pacquiao is 47.

Both men are scheduled for exhibition bouts before their rematch, as Mayweather Jr. is linked to a fight with Mike Tyson (no date has been announced) and Pacquiao is set to fight Ruslan Provodnikov on April 18 in Las Vegas.

The fight will be Mayweather’s first pro bout since defeating Conor McGregor in August 2017, and he will enter the bout with a 50-0 professional record. Since retiring, he has engaged in many exhibition fights, including fights with Logan Paul, Aaron Chalmers, and John Gotti III.

Pacquiao is 62-8-3 and came out of retirement last July and fought Mario Barrios to a majority draw in Las Vegas.

It is Netflix’s latest effort in professional boxing after presenting Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano, and Paul vs. Anthony Joshua.
