Callum Newman officially will challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at Sakura Genesis on April 4.

Newman earned his shot when he defeated Yuta Uemura in the finals of the New Japan Cup. Yota Tsuji confronted the United Empire leader after the match and simply asked if he was ready.

Tsuji has been IWGP Heavyweight Champion since winning the title from Konosuke Takeshita at Wrestle Kingdom 20. He’s defended the title once when he defeated Jake Lee at The New Beginning in Osaka in February. Tsuji is also the IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion.

While not official, the Knockout Brothers called out TMDK for an IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Title match in their post-match interview.

Sakura Genesis will be held at Ryogoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo, and the Road To tour begins on March 28.
