Former UFC two-division champ Conor McGregor is in good spirits following his recent surgery.

McGregor was due for surgery after suffering a torn ACL and meniscus, injuries which caused his MMA return against Max Holloway to last a little over a minute earlier this summer.

In a new Instagram Story, McGregor provided a quick yet positive update.

“Surgery went excellent!” McGregor said. “I am confident.”

McGregor’s fight against Holloway at UFC 329 was his first MMA appearance in over five years. The Irish fighter was coming back after a broken leg caused his previous outing against Dustin Poirier to end early.

“The Notorious” McGregor has one fight left on his UFC deal before hitting free agency. He recently commented that he hopes to return as part of the company’s annual International Fight Week card next summer to finish up his contract.
