Lady Shani was abruptly removed from her Trios match on the first night of TripleMania 34 and shed some light on the nature of her injury.
Friday’s opening match at the MGM Grand Garden Arena saw Lady Shani teaming Jack Cartwheel and Mini Abismo Negro Jr. against Mini Vikingo, Mascarita Sagrada, and Adelicious.
In the opening minutes, Adelicious performed a cartwheel and appeared to graze Lady Shani’s eyelid, resulting in a pair of cuts on the eyelid, per an Instagram video post by the performer. Lady Shani immediately tended to the injury, rolled to the floor, and was observed by the trainers but never returned to the match.
In her Instagram post, she doesn’t comment about the injury but does freeze on the cartwheel spot and then close-up shots of a bloody eyelid and what appears to be two separate cuts.
In the post, she writes:
We can make plans, prepare, imagine, how things will turn out… but everything can change in a second.
Nothing is written.
All you have to do is live, learn, get up and carry on.
This day didn’t end the way I hoped, but it is also part of my story.
