Further details regarding the John Cena Classic have finally been revealed.
John Cena appeared on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw to officially announce the John Cena Classic, which he first teased earlier this year at WWE’s Backlash Premium Live Event (PLE).
Cena announced that the tournament will take place on December 14, hailing from Disney World in Orlando, Florida. A social media post from WWE said the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will be the specific venue at Disney World where it will take place.

He clarified that WWE will air an episode of Raw from Perth, Australia on December 14, then a second episode will air live from Orlando later that evening, where the Classic will go down.
Cena unveiled a title which the tourney winner will receive, briefly mentioned that a fan vote will play a role in the competition via the company’s Club WWE subscription service, and said that he will be handpicking wrestlers involved, starting with former Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
Cena, who is expected to appear on Wednesday night’s episode of NXT, said he will scout out other tournament competitors while at the show. He also promised to be at future episodes of Raw and the company’s upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames PLE while picking names for the Classic.
Still, some details aren’t fully known just yet. The size of the tournament and specifics about how a fan vote, which they previously said could help determine the trophy winner, haven’t been revealed yet. But we’re still over a month out from the event.
