WWE Supershow Results 6/3: Seth Rollins vs. The Miz, Cody Rhodes vs. Finn Balor

WWE SuperShow
June 3rd, 2023
Westchester County Center – White Plains, NY

This is the first WWE show in this historic venue since September 2019. They have been running wrestling here since the ‘30s and later on,  Arnold Skaaland would produce shows in this building as he was from White Plains.

Sold out show here, that holds a little over four thousand.

01: Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship: Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (c) vs. The Viking Raiders (w/Valhalla)

Owens & Zayn came out first to get the crowd all hyped up and they stayed rowdy throughout the entirety. Owens took out Ivan with a stunner as Zayn hit the Helluva Kick on Erik for the pin at 10:27

02: WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Natalya

They were both very over with the crowd. Rhea did the heel escape spot, trying to take her title and go to the back. Rhea put on the Prism Trap for the submission win at 10:09.

03: WWE United States Championship: Austin Theory (c) vs. Sheamus

Crowd continued to stay hot for this one as the crowd was fully behind Sheamus. Theory was able to dodge a Brogue Kick and roll up Sheamus, while holding the tights and putting his feet on the ropes for the pin at 8:39. Theory got on the mic after and said he had something to say, just for Sheamus to hit him with a Brogue Kick for a huge reaction.

04: WWE Intercontinental Championship: Gunther (c) (w/ Ludwig Kaiser) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Damian Priest vs. Matt Riddle

There was a video before the match where Ludwig Kaiser ran down the city to garner heat. Priest got a good reaction here in his home state. Priest also played a babyface in this match (unlike Rhea earlier) teaming up with Riddle & Shinsuke to take down Gunther. Kaiser got on the apron to distract Shinsuke, as Gunther followed with a spinning sidewalk slam for the pin at 8:18.

05: White Plains Street Fight: Finn Balor vs. Cody Rhodes

Balor got on the mic before the match and said he heard from the medical team that Cody wasn’t cleared for tonight and told the referee to start courting to ten. Cody does come out with a huge reaction, wearing the cast for this match. Weapons used were a Kendo stick and a chair that Cody hit Balor with a Pedigree on. The big spot was Cody hitting a Superplex to Balor through a table followed by the Cross Rhodes for the pin at 13:27. Cody got on the mic after and thanked the crowd.

06: Becky Lynch & Bianca Belair vs. Damage CTRL (Bayley & IYO SKY)

Fun match here that got the crowd engaged with a lot of the spots. Bianca took out IYO with the KOD as Becky hit the Manhandle Slam on Bayley for the pin at 11:07

07: The Usos (Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso) vs. The Brawling Brutes (Butch & Ridge Holland)

Roles seemed reversed here with Usos being treated as babyfaces, and the Brutes playing up as heels. The Usos hit the 1D on Butch as Jimmy got the pin at 10:22. On their way to the back, Jimmy seemed to be the more friendly one to the crowd and taking pics, while Jey just walked to the back.

08: WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins (c) vs. The Miz

This is Rollins’ first title defense since this title was created and the crowd chanted his song the whole match off and on. The little kids in my section decided to chant ‘Tiny Balls’ as well.  Good back and forth at the end until Rollins hit the pedigree and the stomp for the pin at 14:09. Rollins got on the mic after and said we were part of history as it was his first successful title defense and said he will defend the title in every city in the world.
